Another Step Towards Better Regulations of Risk Management

TimeTec Computing is targeting to establish an effective Information Security Management System, which complies with the requirement of ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Information Security Management System Standard. The main objective is to develop and implement an effective Information Security Management System (ISMS), which meets the requirements of ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Information Security Management System Standard in the identified scope which focusing on cloud services.

In the process of developing and implementing an ISMS, TimeTec would identify some of the best practices with regard to its daily operations that would enhance their productivity. The employees would be able to incorporate these practices into their activities rather than working with the ISMS in isolation. Together with the implementation of the ISMS, the company will be introduced to a metrics program that would serve as a guide in analyzing and improving the established processes and procedures in a scientific manner.

Amongst the benefits of this ISO 27001 implementation would be to reduce cycle times of activities, wastage and rework. This system is also aimed to achieve consistency and opportunities for continual improvement of the processes of the company, increase in productivity and evolution of process capability.

Mr Daryl Choo, the Chief Technology Officer is heading TimeTec’s ISO team and the training is currently ongoing by the mFQ Asia, a process and people improvement consultancy company. The implementation of this system is expected to take around 9 months with an audit expected at the end of 2017.
